Job Description

  • Assist in preparing quotations, including costing calculations, lead time calculations, and review of drawings, technical specifications and commercial terms.
  • Issue quotations and obtain feedback from customers on our quotations.
  • Data entry, develop Bill of Materials, conduct material planning and provide clear instructions on order requirements to other departments, in order to enable smooth order fulfilment.
  • Negotiate and solve problems after orders are closed e.g. due to delays, quality issues, change in requirements, payment disputes, etc.
  • Document and acknowledge customer instructions for order variations and deviations.
  • Monitor orders to control costs, update customers on order status and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Expedite and escalate orders to internal and external stakeholders as necessary, to minimize any delay to customers.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years work experience in Sales Planning, Sales Coordination, Material Planning or similar field.
  • Diploma or higher, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar field.
  • Able to converse in English and Mandarin, in order to communicate with local and overseas customers as well as English- and Mandarin-speaking staff.
  • Able to write in English, in order to communicate with local and overseas customers.
  • Willing to work in Tuas area.
  • 5½ day working week (alternate Saturdays).
